THE UNLIMITED WITH LOTS OF HIDDEN LIMITS
My domestic worker passed away last year July. She has taken a policy out with Unlimited in 2017 for her kids. Her daughter is working for me now. I have helped her fill the forms in. There were endless forms and doctor's reports they wanted and when I looked at the 1 paper form she filled in when she has taken the policy out they never asked anything about medical conditions. (Yes this is how they cathc the innocent) Her daughter phone them today (Yes after all this time she did not hear a word back from them) - quick to take the money but the service is terrible) and they told her the claim was rejected. They gave her a number to contact for disputes. We landed up talking to the guy that rejected the claim due to hypertension and diabetes diagnosed in 2010 already - policy was taken out in 2017 (I am sure if they have asked her about any illnesses she would have told them) - I got a bit ugly with him - as these insurance companies are preying on the innocent and poor. He got quite stroppy when I asked him if he gets commission when he rejects claims!!!!! We have to wait a few business days for him to come back to us. Now I wanted to know is this fair practise - he told me the policy is not underwritten and her personally rejected the claim but no he needs a few business days to send us the report????? Should that not have been done in the first place??? I am smelling a rat......
