What a huge **** these guys are. So when I signed up I had pre-existing damages on certain panels of the vehicle and these were also disclosed by means of photos. The scratch and dent policy I had, has a clause that state that after two successful payments, I would be entitled to repair my vehicle to an amt of R4000 for pre-existing damages of which this benefit was utilised with no hassles. Now I had claimed for a different panel that has been scratched, yes it has pre-existing damages but the damage claimed for is new. The policy has all of a sudden now changed and wouldn’t cover me for damages on a panel with pre-existing damages. When I asked Siyabonga “claim assessor” to refer me to that clause on my policy wording, he couldn’t. I then read the wording and no where does the wording speak of them not repairing a scratch on a panel that has pre-existing damages. Siyabonga’s manager came back with an email stating “no where on the policy where it says it will” hence the decision to uphold the decision to reject the claim. I’ve requested for my policy schedule from last week friday that will show contact details of the insurer, underwriter, dispute department and the Ombudsman and I’ve been sent a brochure of the product. If you aren’t clued with insurance and don’t want any headaches make sure you don’t buy this product.
