The Unlimited is pathetic
A year or 2 ago I subscribed to The Unlimited. It went well for a few months , but the one month didn't get my R100 free airtime. After a huge fight I cancelled my subscription. A few weeks ago I received a call from The Unlimited , and decided to give them another chance. I got my sim through U Connect , which was strange , but everything was working fine , untill I wanted to register on the app. I struggled for a few days , but no success. I called the customer care nr on the simcard. I got through to U Connect , which had to put me through to The Unlimited. I was promised that the issue will be resolved within 48 hours , which was not the case. Last week I called them again and again cancell my subscription. I got a sms stating that my membership was cancelled on 22/08/2023. On the 25th they however deducted R147 from my account. I tried to call them again through U Connect , but was told that they are no longer linked to U Connect , and that I must call another nr. I can't get hold of them to refund me , otherwise I'll be forced to lay a formal complaint with ICASA , and post it all over the internet. I just want my money back they took ********ly.
Thank you for reaching out to us. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced and we're here to help you with your concern.
After viewing our system, we noticed that you cancelled your policy too close to your debit date, which resulted in the payment still being processed. To avoid this, you needed to ensure that you cancel your policy at least 7 working days before your debit date. Please note that you will still receive coverage for the month and your airtime has already been loaded.
