Request for Reconsideration of Claim Denial – Steering Mechanism and Control Arms

I am writing regarding a claim I recently submitted under my extended maintenance policy with Unlimited. I was informed that my claim for repairs related to my vehicle’s control arms was rejected, with the reasoning being that control arms are not specifically listed on my policy schedule.

However, I would like to highlight that my policy schedule includes coverage for the steering mechanism, and control arms are, in fact, a crucial part of the steering and suspension system.

As known, control arms connect the wheel hub and steering knuckle to the vehicle's frame. They enable the wheels to move up and down while maintaining proper road contact, which is essential for smooth steering and handling. Many vehicles are equipped with both an upper and lower control arm, typically located on each side of the front axle.

Since control arms play a critical role in the functioning of the steering mechanism, I believe that the repairs to these components should be covered under my policy. Given the clear relevance of this coverage, I kindly request a reconsideration of the claim denial.
