Incorrect policy details

My mother has a policy with The Unlimited that was supposed to cover multiple people , herself, me, her brother, my sister, and her uncle.

We recently received a policy document and after personally reviewing it only shows my mother and my sister as insured members. The rest of the people who were supposed to be covered are completely missing.

Despite this a monthly premium of over R500 is still being deducted.

This is extremely concerning and raises serious questions What happened to the other insured members? Were they removed without our knowledge or consent? Why are we still paying the same amount for fewer people?

Additionally there are errors in the information provided. My sister’s ID number is not even correctly captured only her date of birth is listed. This shows a lack of accuracy and raises concerns about how this policy was processed in the first place.

To make matters worse last year my mother was told she could not add another person because the policy had already reached its maximum number of members. Now suddenly only two people appear on the policy which makes no sense.

This situation is misleading and unacceptable. It feels like we are being charged for cover that is not being properly provided.

We urgently require: 1. A full explanation of what happened to the missing members 2. Confirmation of who is actually covered 3. A corrected policy document with accurate details 4. Clarification on why the full premium is still being deducted

We expect immediate attention and transparency.

Hi Ethandwa.

We’re sorry you've had a bad experience and we're grateful you've brought it to our attention. Your feedback means a lot to us - it allows us to make things right. We will have a specialist reach out to the policyholder on Monday.

It has now been over a week since The Unlimited responded to my complaint and stated that a specialist would contact the policyholder on Monday. That Monday has passed and we are now on another Monday and no one has contacted us. This lack of follow-up is extremely unprofessional and only adds to our concerns about how this policy is being handled. We are now requesting urgent escalation of this matter.

I’m very frustrated at this point. This is not the first time I’ve been told that someone will contact me “soon” and nothing happens. I’ve been getting the same response repeatedly with no actual assistance.

Please stop sending generic responses and have someone contact me urgently to resolve this matter. If I do not receive a response, I will have to escalate this further.

I expect feedback today.

Thank you.
