I'm highly disgusted with this short term company. I was a member with them for almost 3 years. My monthly contribution was directly debited from my Salary. Last year I started having trouble with my teeth eg. three of my crowns falling out etc. I went to the Dentist last year November. A quotation was done to repair my whole mouth for over R24 000.00. I submitted the estimate to my Medical Aid and I was then informed that they can only cover approximately R16 000.00. I then contacted The Unlimited only for themto inform me that I'm no longer an active member and that my HR Office cancelled the Debit Order. Now, for my HR to do this I have to fill in and sign official documents to stop payment of which I did not do. I approached my HR and after their investigations with our Finance Head Office, I established that The Unlimited actually stopped the payment. I contacted them several times to no avail. Emails sent was deleted without reading. I then approached the OMBUD and can you believe it, they contacted me to reinlist me. I required if I had to have another 3 month waiting period even if I wre willing to catch up all payments. They blatantly informed in the positive. I then informed them that I will escalate the matter with the OMBUD and they stopped the conversation. Now I'm suffering due to their idiotic inhumane negligence. I will advise agaist anyone that thinks about taking cover with them, please dont.
