Horrible service from the ******** called The Unlimited

My dad had a funeral policy with The Unlimited. He unfortunately passed on, on the 18th of December. The claim was made with this company, all the necessary documents were submitted and they promised to pay, they there after turned and said they won't pay because my dad had pre existing medical conditions(diabetic), now, since when does a funeral cover look into pre existing medical conditions if it's their policy, why was he not sent for medical check ups prior, if the company treat funeral policy like life covers? Did they explain this to him because he wouldn't have joined if he was aware of all this? So the only thing that was important to this company was his monthly premiums, old age pension money that is. The company promised to take a good care of him while they were looking out for themselves, they just wanted a commission, couldn't care a less about the insured life. This service is disgusting, pathetic and dehumanizing. You are the ******** ******** old man off his pension money with your empty heartless promises.

Hi Kholiswa,

We`d like to extend our heartfelt condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. We appreciate you taking our call this morning and for allowing us to take you through the outcome for the claim. Please understand that we're not ******** your family as our terms and conditions do stipulate that we don`t cover pre-existing medical conditions and this information was shared with our customer when they signed-up for the membership. We're truly sorry that the final outcome has made you feel this way about us.

Please listen to your voice clips where Mr Madziba was on the line with Khanyi on the 30th August 2019 and quote to me where she explained about "diabetic" also listen to how many times has he indicated he does not understand English also that he had never received any letters from the Company. Again please to the voice calls where he was speaking with Thuli on the 28th January 2020 where he clearly says please go through it again "sengi noshukela mna" and tell me what did she do with that statement? Why would you continue successfully collecting monthly premiums after he has indicated that he is diabetic but you did not investigate or even question him when was he diagnosed? And come back again to tell me that you are not ********? Once again you only care about monthly premium and commissions not the lives insured.
