Disgusted - no claim process!

Disgusting what these people do. I have taken a good few hours to calm down before writing this review so that I can carefully word and not say something I will regret. First of all when selling a death benefit policy I think it's crucial to explain to your potential client the risk of having no beneficiary.... how do you have no beneficiary on a death benefit policy??? It's a laugh... because of the no beneficiary it is difficult for the loved ones left behind to claim. Letters of authority are not easily obtained so there's the first catch... my dear mother passed away in November 2020 and we've been trying to claim since days after her passing. Funerals are expensive. To obtain the letter of authority I need the divorce decree and since my parents were divorced in the late 80's one can only imagine how difficult that was to obtain. Nevertheless with the systems in place in South Africa the task was in one word painful but not impossible. From pillar to post not to mention the cost. We finally obtained the letter of authority. I submit and here we are months later hopeful that this tedious process is finally drawing to an end.... hahaha who am I kidding? An assessor informs me that they tried to call me which is utter nonsense, I have call line identity print outs to prove different. I was supposed to be informed that they want a letter confirming first date of diagnosis for hypertension so let's assess this task... my mother was diagnosed with hypertension decades ago and has since then been treated by at least 5 different state clinics, how am I supposed to trace the doctor that first diagnosed her. Keep in mind my mother was well, the hypertension was well under control so what has this got to do with the price of eggs???? I thing the best way to describe this institution is "White collar *******" they were happy to take the money via debit every month for years but when one tries to claim its story after story. I am not going to let this go. I will make it my life's mission to let the world know that they must stay away from these policies. I am going to fight so their sales are regulated , these poor pensioners/ unsuspecting victims should have the fine print at least partially explained because I can guarantee that had my mother known there would be these complications after the fact she would have never joined. I'm hoping the dear assessor that I spoke today convinced her superiors to make the right decision. I have decided that if they do not finalize this process within this week I am going to go to every possible media format to let the world know. I am going to make it my life's mission to tell existing clients what they are in for. The world needs to know, they must be stopped.
