Declined insurance claim by Unlimited/Not sure

Insurance Claim Rejected Despite Premium Being Regularised Subject Insurance Claim Rejected Despite Premium Being Regularised I am lodging this complaint due to ongoing unfair treatment by my insurer and administrator, and the lack of urgency in resolving a matter that has placed me under significant financial and practical pressure. I hold a valid motor warranty policy under The Unlimited. In December 2025, my premium was debited earlier than the agreed date, before my salary was paid. This early debit caused immediate financial hardship, forcing me to reverse the transaction to meet urgent family obligations. At no stage did I cancel the policy or intend to avoid payment. I consistently communicated my willingness to regularise the premium once funds were available. Importantly, the insurer did not re-attempt collection on the agreed debit date, despite funds being available. A claim arising during this period was rejected solely on the basis of “non-payment”, applying policy wording in a strict and mechanical manner, without regard to fairness, proportionality, or good faith. Despite rejecting my claim, the insurer has since successfully debited my bank account again, confirming that: • the debit order mandate remained active, and • there was never an intention on my part to avoid payment. I am now being forced to authorise vehicle repairs at my own cost while continuing to pay premiums, which I submit is inequitable. I have escalated the matter to the National Financial Ombud, but due to the urgency of the situation and lack of response to date, I am seeking intervention and resolution through this platform. I request that the insurer and administrator urgently engage with me to review this matter fairly and reconsider the rejection of my claim. The question is the November 2025 premium covered which month when they say there was no cover for December 2025?
