Unhappy about service received

booking made @lekkeslaap. transferred from dbn Berea gem of manor we were sent to Port Shepstone Tweni waterfall guest lodge. what we paid for and what we thrown into, oh my god. from a guest house; housing us all under 1 roof we ended up in 3 separated so called hostel flats with no way of gathering as a group. when booking we explained everything 12 elderly church ladies yet got there and we *****ed highly. what a *******. called Nicole and Tramaine on Sunday for help and was left hanging. Asked caretaker/ cleaner Lulu to contact owner Warren when we got there as we were not happy with what we walked into. He never bothered coming. We were fooled by the pics advertised of the place on google and Lekkeslaap. A sham. 3-star rating in the old days needs to be re-evaluated. Don’t waste your time and money. We regret this holiday with our heart and souls. BAR/RESTAURANT DOWNSTAIRS: we had no idea that the place downstairs CASA MIA Restaurant was booked out for a function. Came back from town to find that we had to walk pass and through parties with dogs and a live performance by someone sing contemporary music, carrying bags of groceries through people seated in and around area. Carry all these upstairs and could not enjoy facility as overtaken by event. Imagine having to plan a braai and end up sitting cramped in the room because we couldn’t talk loudly or be open as we had groups of people staring straight at us and in our space. List of issues: Kitchen huge window not blocked out or curtained. Guest left exposed as space so small and placement of bedroom and kitchen exposes you when changing. Bathroom doesn’t provide any place-to-place clothing to assist mentioned state. Humiliated and disgusted with conditions KITCHEN: No dishcloth, pot scourers. Amount of dishwasher provided 2 table s****s per day if lucky. Stove had no oven rails. Dirty in and out. Rusted stove plates.one not working. Fridge dirty and freezer 2 draws stuck with ice. Two had sand and dirt and bottom broken drawer. Plates and cups were chipped badly that when you wash you cut yourself. Sponge previously used to its limit left to welcome our turn. Pots and pans stained and burnt bottoms left intact. Cutlery dirty, rusted and tea s****s that look like they saw better days and not enough. Window naked and exposed not good for keeping place warm. Utensils had to be brought between the 3 flats as we had to share. Toaster in room 5 rusted but we were suppose to use. Where’s the humanity. welcome coffee, sugar and creamer not enough for 2. Imagine arriving past 11pm and wanting a quick drink and only finding 2 tsp coffee for 6 not even a tea bag. Cabinet handles rusted. Kettle has not been descaled and scrubbed in a while. No iron. Same as microwave needs cleaning. S**** draws and cupboard over powered by doom spray. Appliances are cramped onto each other. Sink on stove so if water spills good luck to the guest. Space is only enough for one person to work. BATHROOM: Bathroom doesn’t provide any place to put clothing had to put on toilet pot. Behind basin floor plastered thick with dirt. In shower and floor new grouting spread here and there to cover mold build up. Poorly done. Door is moldy and dirty. No bathroom mats. Hand towel on floor and when wet after showering picks up all the dirt hidden behind the brown tile colour. Bin doesn’t even have a bag for sanitary purposes. When last was that shower floor scrubbed down. Not even anything to wash your hands or dry them. SPACE WITH @ WOODEN DOUBLE BUNKS: dustbin location inappropriate. As you sleep smelling all that ****. Size of beds not for fully grown adults. Height is for small children. Ladder is not secured onto beds. Major hazard. Kiddies wooden double bunk beds for ladies over 60. Couldn’t fit on bottom nor climb up. Had to split bed. Bedding stained with blood and not cleaned prior to our stay or during. Dirty and had ants walking on the bottom one. Extra bedding not provided. Only single thin layer. Did you sleep with them, try it. The light fitting/fan dirty rusted. Ceiling hasn’t been cleaned. Our bodies were so sore only to realised that planks were not even place. Broken. I’m over 90kgs and had issues climbing on and off the bed. Walls are cracked and patched with different colour so obvious. DOUBLE BED AREA: 1 worn out blanket for a 6-sleeper provided. No air-conditioning in that cold place. Not even a mat. Solar light connected to power supply but damaged. Doesn’t work. Wardrobe has foul smell. Space so small EATING AREA INSIDE: too cramped, uncomfortable. Imagine big boned women sitting on narrow wooden benches. We were forced to add another table to accommodate our group. Same as other room wall patched in different colour paint, totally visible. Table needs deep cleaning EATING AREA OUTSIDE: benches damaged rust exposed and extremely cold and uncomfortable stone. Roofing by railing full of **** like mop head strands, earbuds and trash. Pot plant full of used cigarette buds. Connected with other rooms onto unit 3. Guest there open and close door and use your space. Which can be very annoying. COUCH: seater and backing different colours of brown. Stinks and needs to be cleaned. BEACH: First day we asked over and over about the beach and was told that we had to walk along a busy bridge until we get to a stop and turn left and walk until we reach the beach. We are mad as hell to find out we had to walk 3.2km back and forth on unsafe roads to Umtweni public beach. Just to be told the next day by lulu that there is another way to the private beach through the side entries and all you need was a pin code and key. When asked why she never told us day before “I was too lazy to explain”. Oh, by the way why did we have to pay R100 for key to beach. By the way that Sea Park beach aint safe no life guard. You are on your own. Waves are hectic and except to be blasted constantly by sand. Beaten is more like it. Water is cold and except to struggle walk on the sand, feet sinks. STAIRS: we were not told that we had to climb uneven winding, narrow 39 steps to get to our place. Tiring and had to carry bags too. POOL AND GOLF AREA: empty not working and dirty. Shows signs of damage which happened long time ago. BRAAI AREA: light not working so can’t be used after 6. Unable to use when the bar downstairs was hosting a function. ENTRANCE TO LODGE: we rode around the place looking and looking for the lodge to find that entrance was a business complex and lodge entrance side gate. Tarring damaged. Access not convenient.
