Worst Experience!!!!!

I would just like to bring the below to Management and Owners attention.

On Saturday the 24th August I had a table booked for 20 people to celebrate mine and my sisters 30th Birthday.

On arrival we were completely thrown back by the dreadful welcome to the restaurant, by Management on duty, specifically a bigger man with glass who's name we do not know as he had no uniform nor a name badge on ( Such a disgrace)

When I made the booking and paid our deposit I had asked if we can bring in our own wine and cake, I understand the policy on no balloons however we brought in a 30 Ballon to just take photos once the full table of guest had arrived and then we would remove the balloons, well blow me over, you would swear we brought in booms! This Manager who's name we unfortunately don't know was so disgustingly rude, telling us that we can't not have our own wine, which we were happy to pay corkage for,( keeping in mind the Terrace doesn't sell this range) we could not have our cake on our cake stand that we brought, whoch again we were happy to pay the cakeage and that the balloons were an obstruction to the decor of the restaurant ( quite pathetic if you ask me).

I then proceed to tell him that we have had multiple functions @ the Terrace and brought in balloons for a few pictures and then removed them, for him then to call me a **** as it would never have be allowed, however it was allowed on multiple occasions!

Honestly if I wasn't 8 months pregnant and if it wasn't for the 2 lovely waitress we had to serve us,we would have taken the functions elsewhere.

We then had a blond lady, coming to us every second telling us to remove the balloons, I had to keep telling her we were just waiting for all guest to arrive to take a group picture, ( for goodness sake it's balloons). Never the less we got rid of the balloons after photos were taken, please keep in mind this all happened within the first 10 minutes of arrival. Day already ruined thanks to the rude managers!

We have been booking events @ the Terrace for the last 5 years, you can back track if no one believes me under the name Paige Williams for work team building functions every quarter of the year, for year end functions for business and then alot for personal as well like birthdays, and every Christmas and then just the odd weekends. As we absolutely loved it there! However that has completely changed!

We spent over 10k on Saturday in your restaurant and trust me when I say we spend alot more when it's our corporate functions, nevertheless if it was 500k or 500rand, customer services, respect and just decency should be given to every customer that walks through your doors.

I can promise you now, we will never be back to the Terrace nor any of the Copperclub restaurants again!
