The Tax Shop Century City does not make good on service it claims to provide

Nanette Crouse of The Tax Shop (Century City) paid little attention to detail when I asked her to assist me with a VAT claim. The letter that she wrote to SARS for my VAT Claim was inaccurate and I had to do most of the writing in the form of an affidavit. Also, she failed to let me know that SARS had made a decision on my appeal despite me phoning her and emailing her countless times. SHe has no idea of the concept of service and only seems concerned with the 'bigger fishes'.

She does not have an office that she operates out of and I had to constantly meet her at noisy coffee shops where her intern was always late and seemed confused most of the time.

I paid R24 000.00 for financials (March 2016 - Nov 2016) that another experienced accountant can not fathom! Accounting is pretty self-explanatory and when someone else cannot comprehend your work, there is something wrong with your work. I had to terminate her service with her as I got the feeling that it was complete ******* and that she was doing a poor job.

Nanette refused to further assist me with the poor quality and inaccurate work she churned out and said that she will need to charge me further if she was going to help me sort out the shoddy financials that she handed over to me. She said she can't assist me further as she has handed all records over to me. So this means that she turns out poor work and then charges more to see to the errors she has made and she does not keep a record of work she has done for clients.

Bennie Groenewald who tried to resolve this matter is just as much a nightmare as the rest of the The Tax Shop people I encountered.

Overall, it was a stressful, terrible experience where my fledgling business lost a lot of money due to a person proposing to want to take the stress out of my hands and into hers, but really doing the exact opposite. And all the while seeing me as a cash *** and having no cognisance for work ethic and standards.

I will not recommend The Tax Shop or The Tax Shop Century City to anybody.
