Ridiculous return policy

I bought a dress at the space on 13 February 2024 for my birthday on 17 February. Unfortunately on the day of the event the was a problem with the zip and that resulted in me rushing to another shop to get another dress. Today, 19 February 2024 I went to the shop to get my refund, I was told , no refund, no exchange. How ridiculous is that. So now what should I do with the dress that has defects? I'm so disappointed with that store and I'm never going back. Please help. I want my money back
