Don't be caught by The Spa on Fairway

I was recently treated to a day of relaxation package by my son and daughter for my birthday. The R1400 package included a full body massage, a deep cleanse facial, a mani and a pedi plus lunch. The lunch was valued at R150 but was actually a Kauai chicken wrap valued at far less. The the******s were great BUT BEWARE... Don't get talked into upgrading your facial to an age smart one like I was convinced to do. The the****** advised that I would have to pay in the difference in price of the two facials which I was happy to do... What they actually did though was take away the discount on the package already paid for and make me pay both the discount back and the difference in the price of the facials. I emailed my objection after the fact and to date, I have just been fobbed off by the Spa on Fairway administration. It is not so much the money that I was overcharged but rather the principle to which I strongly object. Furthermore, the Spa changeroom and facilities were rather rundown and dirty. There was also no toilet paper in the bathroom in their treatment room. It was my first visit to the Spa on Fairway and needless to say, I will not be back. The Spa on Fairway eventually responded to me after I shared this review on Facebook. This is where they then deliberately caused further expense to me... They sent me an apology and offer to pay the discount back to me by eft, received in writing as per their email, but their staff then to the contrary and on their instruction, made a cash deposit into my bank account, knowing well that the bank charges actually exceeded the payment. This negated the offer to repay me and cost me nearly double. After 2 more emails regarding this further charge to me and further reviews, I continue to receive no response from their administration office. This situation is both ********* and unacceptable. I'm at a total loss to The Spa on Fairway's lack of customer service. May their future patrons be warned. I reiterate that it was less about the money and more about the principle, yet this tactic of theirs, smacks of malice. After several more attempts at getting them to rectify this cost to me, they continue to ignore my emails and social media requests.
