SACQSP = Useless

The South African Council For the Quantity Surveying Profession is a statutory body that we need to belong to to trade as Quantity Surveyors. However since the change in management & staff the past couple of years things have been deteriorating drastically and nothings gets done. In order to comply and maintain ones professional credibility one has to complete 25 hours yearly formal and informal CPD training which needs to be logged on the website. I have completed my part and logged it on the website but formal hours needs to be approved by the council. I have sent numerous emails requesting approval on the website for the past two months but do not even get and reply saying "we will look into this", not even the registrar is responding. It also took 4 months to get a letter of good standing from the council after 10 email requests, and I am not the only one in my office who gets no joy from the council. I do think it is pathetic and going forward I believe it will get worse and worse if drastic measures are not taken.
