Money debit order without my concern

I booked online for our December vacation, on the internet they wanted banking details just to confirm if the account is active. Within 8 hours they debited almost half of the booking fee. When I call them to reverse the payment they tell me to wait 10days while they took less than 24 hours to debit money that was not mentioned on the terms and conditions. I tried taking to the manager about 30 minutes ago , when I asked him to do something about the 10days reversal he ended up hanging up on me. I am so disappointed.
