TERRIBLE ETHICS

Dont ever book with this place Booked via booking.com and paid the required price immediately Received the booking reference and pin code the next day (scheduled stay was in 3 weeks time)

All was good until i got a random whatsapp message from a number claiming to be the Owner of The apartment (the Sails)

I sent through the confirmation and got a response saying that an amount of R925 was needed to be paid as the apartment accommadates 6 people upon trying to call the number several times (no Answer) Eventually i got hold of the guy (Feraaz Mahommed) Asked for the bank details to pay the amount and was told that he would send it to me shortly

No details were sent to me! I called booking.com that night and they said they will get back to me in 15to 20 mins Which they did and said they got a hold of the owner and that he will send through the details Nothing came through till the next morning (the day of our arrival) I continued to call the number and NO ANSWER NO return of messages we arrived at reception/security and was told we dont have a booking! The security tried to contact the owner and he did not respond We contacted booking.com again and they tried and said they could not get hold of the owner either and we opted to cancel and process a refund, while stuck in a completely different town with no accommodation We eventually got a booking at the holiday inn

Absolutely disgusting behaviour of a property owner Absolutely terrible that even up to this day 2-04-2024 We still have not gotten a call back or message from this (Mr Faraaz Mahomed) TOTALLY UPSET AND WILL NEVER RECOOMMEND ANYONE TO BOOK AT THE SAILS ON TIMEBALL!!!
