Taken for a ride

Being in need of new office furniture during lockdown I ordered an office set from the company via e-mail on 7 July 2020 with a request to make some design adjustments. I received an invoice from them and paid a 60% deposit. Their website at the time indicated a 6 to 7 week delivery period. On 10 Aug I received an email advising that my furniture would be delivered on 18 Aug. It did not materialise. After numerous calls and whatsapps and threats of legal action to the owner of the company VIAAN THOMAS who was full of excuses and blaming his delivery company I finally received a PARTIAL refund of my deposit on 16 September. I should have done my homework and checked HelloPeter first as I subsequently found out there were previous complaints against this individual under a company Qrious Design. Still out of pocket by R1500
