AVOID AVOID AVOID The Real Repair Company Gardens Centre

I wish I could give the Real Repair Company Gardens Centre a zero star rating. 7 weeks later and my iPhone 8 is still not fixed.

The staff are rude, unprofessional, unhelpful and lack all knowledge about their products and services.

This nightmare started when they told me it was impossible to get the claim sorted from Vodacom within the same day, I then did it for them in an hour. When I returned to give them the claim number, all of a sudden there was no stock... Okay fine.

They said it will be there in a day or two as head office has stock (also in CPT, like 20min away). After not hearing anything for TWO WEEKS I called them and asked what was going on??? They apologized and said they had forgotten... Okay fine.

Back to the store I go... After opening it up for the second time (after their initial inspection) they phoned and accused me of taking my phone somewhere else as there are missing *****s inside. So after the initial inspection from their EXPERT TECHNICIAN, my phone was now in an even worse condition. After telling them they are the only ones who've handled the phone they reluctantly agreed to replace the *****s...

Call received a few hours later to say my phone was ready for collection and everything was sorted... Amazing, this was a frustrating experience but it's in the past... WELL NO!!! My phones microphone stopped working and the screen had a crack... The Real Repair Company Gardens Centres definition of "fixed" is, here's your phone back with the microphone only working 20% of the time, my camera now jumps around like an old tv looking for signal and I have been given a generic screen that bulges above the sides and is not sealed. Fantastic work guys, really!!!

This has now been the state of my phone for the last week while again head office has to provide stock... still 20min away from this branch. They told me they had a different colour original screen, almost seeing if i'd be okay with that. Call after call and I am no closer to getting this sorted. Their favorite tactic is to call just before 4pm to tell you nothing can be done today, only prolonging this suffering.

I think when the Real Repair Company Gardens Centre say repairs while you wait, it means let me make your life really frustrating for months and then we'll quickly "fix" it.

SUGGESTION: Rather buy a repair kit online and watch a YouTube video on how to repair your phone instead of giving the Real Repair Company 1 cent of your money. You will have 100% less frustration and 100% more satisfaction on the quality of the job done, even if you completely mess it up.

This could all be avoided with some proper training for staff and half decent customer service. As much as this store has left a bad taste, this problem stems from head office... ESPECIALLY after all the bad reviews i've seen prior to writing this.
