Just don’t do it

My husband purchased a driver on special and proceeded to sell his existing driver, believing that the new driver would be procured shortly. On phoning the pro shop the following day he was told that the special was incorrect, and that the sale was on demo stock. The person told him that he would have to try get him a “decent” one, as it was all well used stock.

Nowhere in the advertising was demo stock mentioned. Not even in fine print.

What are we now to do? He sold his driver, which was still in good condition on the assumption that the purchase would be an upgrade, only to be told that they would have to sc**** the bottom of the barrel. That is NOT what was advertised, nor what was paid for.

This is made worse by the fact that this is not the first incident. I also ordered an item on special in 2018, and was informed that I would not receive it as there was “no stock” Recently found out a friend threatened with the ombud and ccc and the item was suddenly miraculously available. So some people were assisted, but not others. That is not treating customers fairly.

I’m at a loss for words. You guys are proper ***
