FALSE ADVERTISING PROMOTING FALSE ADVERTISING
I played in a golf day. It was time for prize giving and I played some really good golf on the day. The prize giving was structured as a lot of golf days are, where the winner starts and he may choose any of the available prizes then the second place will choose and as they go down the list people choosing receive less options to choose from as the good prizes dry up.
I was first to choose and had some very good options to choose from. But the good prizes was stuff that I don't necessarily need. I then decided to choose the voucher from The Pro Shop. I need new golf shoes so it only makes sense to me to take the voucher that was marked as R600. There was prizes worth much much more, but I chose the voucher.
It was only after I opened up the voucher which was folded up and stapled closed, that I realized that the R600 voucher was for a Fitting session. THIS IS FALSE ADVERTI*****T.
When I contacted the Pro Shop BOKSBURG, where the voucher is for, the Manager said to me that sometimes they do give it as a prize and that there is nothing they can do for me other that come for a fitting session, and this is at value of R600. This is bull **** and totally unacceptable, I told the Manager. He said that it is kind of a voucher.
I hate it when people false advertise because if I knew this was the **** I took I would've never taken that prize.
The Manager then continued to say that it is not their fault because it still is a voucher type of thing.
Even if it was the people organizing the golf day that put in in the envelope marked, " PRO SHOP R600", The Pro Shop needs to make sure that the people they hand the prizes should correctly label it when handing out.
I have no need to have a Fitting session, so basically The Pro Shop cost me to get absolutely no prize in a golf day that I really deserved it.
I really hope that you guys will sort this unacceptable stuff out, as for time being I will never purchase from The Pro Shop again.

When we donate fitting vouchers we always make it clear to the organisers of the golf day what they are - fitting vouchers as distinct from gift vouchers. In this instance the organisers placed our vouchers into envelopes we didn't supply, and entered the incorrect information on these. As it happens, fitting vouchers are a great prize as it gives the winner the opportunity to spend 2 hours with a Master Fitter, who is a PGA Pro and expert club fitter that has been trained in the USA etc.
Nevertheless - we understand your frustration, and will convert your fitting voucher at no charge into a gift voucher. We will also ask golf day organisers in future to ensure the correct information is on the envelopes.
