Horrible experience getting dragon fruit cuttings..

I have been in contact with Cornelius van Heeveren of Dragonfruit SA (which falls under the health pro store) since February to buy dragon fruit cuttings. When i finally received prices on the 5th of March, I immediately ordered 34 cuttings (R6000 total), paid with the payment being reflected in his account on the 17th of March (oversees payment).

On the 11th of March I got a WhatsApp message saying he was going to the farm to get the cuttings and send them off to me. I enquired several times on the 15th and 22rd of March asking if these were indeed shipped or not - no reply.

On the 23rd of March i got a long voice note saying that the farm has been raided, damaged and goods ****** and that they were busy moving to another place. I can't judge whether this was indeed the case or not, but giving him the benefit of the doubt and having the promise that he will send more cuttings than i ordered, I gave him the time to attend to the problems on the farm.

On the 4th of April, I asked again for an update on WhatsApp, no response but message was seen.

Yesterday the 9th, I again asked for an update on the shipping or a refund if not possible, both via WhatsApp and via email - no response. Managed to get an “office is closed” office using another number, and to be patient as they are moving towns.

Friday the 18th of April I got a waybill number – I was so relieved that I could close this chapter, only to have that dream crushed today when I received the parcel! A box with a 15 or so cuttings (out of the 34 I ordered) that I would not even dare to sell myself and most of them are not even the varieties that I ordered...

The extensive range of dragon fruit varieties sold by the owner convinced me to place an order but I ended up buying a cat in a bag. Do NOT buy anything from them.

Also if you are not able to deliver goods, communicate and/or refund the buyer, it is really that simple.
