Misleading funeral policy

I joined for my brother in law in this policy called THE POLOCY BUILDER, you join for 9 members, now when I want to claim they ask me how is this brother in law related to me, i told them it is my husband's cousin , to me he is brother in law. I joined 2015 and 2016 i claimed for one of my brothers in laws no issue there, then i add another brother in law to replace. When i claim they say he is not immediate family, of which i was never advice about this, i have cousins as well on same policy.
