Disappointed, Outdated ideology for a kids play area.

Zero control from parking ,to entrance to the play area. Food is way too expensive for what you get. They allowed a man in with a firearm into Kids play area, and took their time to have him remove it. There is not enough staff and order put in place to make it a joyful experience. Needs serious ventilation- was a hot summer’s day and no fans / aircon etc. The self service is a nuisance, and squeezed into a small corner, you need your purchase back in your hand- no trays offered. They need to seriously check out new modern play areas and up their game. I was not impressed when a staff member told a 4 year old to put their socks on now! So as a parent you need to be with your kids ALL the time else they get scolded at,instead of helping the kid!! Many places don’t have child minders but the staff are polite and helpful. Staff shouted at a 6 year old for jumping on a trampoline like they can read signs. Not sure why 6 year olds can’t jump on a trampoline, if you have one at home, you doing it wrong! Apparently only up to 4 years can, hopefully you don’t have siblings wanting to play together. Definitely won’t go back.

The response I got from the establishment: Our establishment is an unsupervised play facility. This means you need to look after your own kids. Even if it means you must buy a pair of socks to do so. Staff would not have to tell kids anything if the parents were on the floor with their kids.

My opinion: very outdated ideology to have unsupervised help. Not sure how they expect a 1-2 year old to go down a big slide alone - parents are only allowed to the top, they have to rush down against the crowd coming up, so if your kid cries or gets stuck- that’s your problem. Definitely not worth the price and drive. Many more wonderful play areas in Johannesburg that area cheaper and have a friendlier environment.
