Most unreliable

I made a booking to the Pillows Suite for a group of 15 Adults from the 13th -15th of July 2015 and got instant confirmation via email (early April).I called the establishment to arrange payment and I was told I could only pay cash on arrival. This worried me and I raised my concern to the lady I spoke to and she assured me that all was in order and there would be no disapppintments.

I called them again a week ago (1 week before check in) to check that all is well with my reservation and as confirmation that we were still coming and the gentleman I spoke to gave me reassurance that all is well.

To my utter dismay and shock, my group arrived at the establishment today to check in and they were told that they cannot be accomodated as there is no space! How unprofessional is this? The lady at reception was rude and spoke about "1st come 1st serve" and acted as if they just randomly showed up at the last minute.

They never mentioned anything about the "first come first served" rule the 2 times I communicated to them over the phone, had we known we would have seeked alternative accomodation ON TIME! Most affordable hotels are booked this weekend, because of the national conference my group is attending.

I nearly had a heart attack when they informed me that they do not have a place to sleep. This group travelled all the way from the Free State to Pretoria for almost NOTHING! Fortunately I was able to quickly find alternative accomodation within their budget. Thanks for nothing Pillows Suite! Continue treating clients this way, very soon there will be no business to speak of!
