Appalling service, utter disrespect for the rights of animals and customers

<p>I recently bought pet food at this shop. I asked for Cavie food (Guinea ***) food. One of the store workers brought rabbit food. I asked them to confirm whether it was okay for me to be feeding my guinea *** rabbit food. I was told by more than one person working in this shop that it was okay to do so. I fed my guinea *** this food and within a few days i started noticing that he was becoming unresponsive, not making his usual sounds and laying majority of the time.</p> <p> </p> <p>I decided to go and look for guinea *** food and gave this to my guinea *** instead. Within a day or two he started getting better and doing the things he would usually do.</p> <p> </p> <p>Upon going back to the store to inform them of what had happened, the staff were utterly dismissive of what I had to say. They instead directed me to speak to a veterinarian regarding this query. This clearly states that they aren't aware of the side effects or possible harm the products they sell can incur and cannot give clear correct and true advice regarding the usages thereof. This means that this business runs on assumptions and a new customer that just recently acquired a pet will be at risk of ****ing their pets themselves due to this incorrect information.</p> <p> </p> <p>My main concern with this issue is that I was misinformed by this store's staff who are supposed to have basic knowledge of the products they sell at the very least. This also means that everybody else visiting for products for their pets are possibly receiving information that is incorrect. I would like to get some type of explanation as to exactly how such a store can continue to run providing their customers with such terrible quality of information and service.</p> <p> </p> <p>This type of treatment leads me to question the health of their store itself. Do they feed their in-store animals the correct foods? Do they make sure that their animals have everything they need in order to survive and maintain a positive health level? Do they do research on their trade to maintain the most up to date information?</p> <p> </p> <p>The answer from what I have gathered by this ordeal is "Clearly not". I think this type of service is purely atrocious and this business should receive the due credit they deserve for their mistreatment of customers and their pets alike. I wouldn't want to do business with this company in future because they seem to see animals as items and nothing more.</p>
