VODACOM PAVILION - PATHETIC SERVICE - WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE AFTER 14 YEARS OF BEING A LOYAL CUSTOMER

I have never been so furious in my life!

1. I approached Vodacom in November 2016 and signed a Top Up Contract with Sashin at their store in Pavillion (under centre court). On the same day, I was given my phone and was reassured that everything will go through within 3 days.

2. I then proceeded to contact the store for several weeks as my phone was still on prepaid and contract not activated with no benefits. Please note, I contacted and visited the store throughout 2016 begging to sort out my issues.

3. At this point, I requested a copy of my contract around December 2016 as due to the nature of my work, I was required to submit that contract as I receive a cell phone allowance. This contract was only sent to me yesterday 09 February 2017, and only a single page was given to me (attached) – this isn’t the complete contract and I was told by Sashin last night that this is the full contract.

4. My contract was activated on the 25th January 2017, 3 months after signing the contract. This was done after numerous calls in January 2017 to the store and a manager by the name of Raees, eventually sorted out my benefits. I was assured that everything is in order and I must expect my first debit order to go through on the 01st February 2017 – 01st being the date that I signed for the debit order to go through – which does not appear on this ‘1 page’ contract.

5. I waited will the 3rd of February 2017 to see whether the debit order was delayed. I then started calling the store again on this date and spoke to Rivashen, Sashin and the new manager Vanessa who states that they are busy sorting it out – mind you, no one has apologised for the inconvenience and whenever I called, I was always told that they would call me back. Every time this was done, I was always the one calling back to follow up!

6. On Monday 06th February 2017, I called customer care. They advised that all is in order where I was then transferred to the accounts department. The lady refused to assist me as she states that I am not the account holder – At this point I was furious as I am still chasing after Vodacom trying to resolve my own issues when they are responsible in ensuring everything was done correctly! REFERENCE NUMBER FOR THE CALL – 1-2ZYZ05B5G

7. When Vanessa took over, she stated every time that she is new and will not be able to assist that much – this is utter bull**** – when I visited the store last night, she did not even come out of the back room to assist.

8. To date, I have not been debited. When I approached the store last night to cancel my contract, I was told that I need to pay the full 24 month contract in lieu - Why??? I was subjected to such ********** customer service, and Vodacom is unable to deliver as promised so I was furious once being told this. I was told that I should write a letter and send it to the store email address and they would advise me at a later stage of an outcome.

9. To date, I have not been debited for my contract and Vodacom still has incorrect details on their system. Why should I now put up with this pathetic service and be told that there is no need to get angry. I have been their client for 14 years and I am now fed up with the treatment I have received from the store.

I wish to cancel my contract with Vodacom without any penalties as they have not honoured their agreement. Aside from this, my company has now revoked my cellphone allowance due to me not submitting the contract as requested by them in December 2016. There is so much of time and money that I have spent travelling to the store, making over 50 calls to them since last year trying to resolve these issues and frankly I am sick and tired of the unprofessional and rude attitude from the store and customer care.

Store email address - **********
Owners Email address – **********
Store Manager email address – **********

VODACOM 4 U SHOP 155, PAVILION, JACK MARTENS DRIVE, WESTVILLE, 3629

Hi Vinay

As discussed, please see sequence of events:

1.
