The pavillion mall - Loadshedding - Lifts

On friday 03/03/2023, myself and a couple others got stuck in the lift for close to an hour waiting for the technician to come get us out. I called the emergency number stated in the lift and was told the technician was on the way , 30 mins later i called again and they advised that he was 10 mins away. When i called again after an 20 mins had passed, the company decided to not answer any more of my calls. Needless to say we were able to get out the lift after having no ventilation for so long. My concern here is the escalators were stopped in time for the loadshedding but no one was notified that the lifts would not be working in a scenario like that. Luckily none of us in the lift had asmathic problems or were clustaphobic. I definetly think this is something that should be looked into as it could become very hazardous for our livelihoods. Honestly did not expect such from such a big mall! Highly disappointed in the way things panned out.
