A wonder restaurant team

Compliments to the restaurant people for fabulous and friendly service. My wife, two children and I were down on holiday for the long weekend and have not been to Umhlanga for a few years now. Having kids we usually avoid upmarket restaurants in favor of more low-key venues. However we threw caution to the wind on Saturday night the 23rd Septmeber and decided to have dinner (curry buffet) at the Oyster box. My wife and I were blown away by the friendly staff and smiling faces that greeted us. I don’t know why we never viewed the Oyster Box as kid friendly before. The restaurant staff had their hands - they were fully booked and there was a lively wedding party taking out the bar area as well. Never once did this matter. The lady at the restaurant front desk greeted us with a smile and fitted us in no problem. We had a grand time. All the waitresses and waiters were so friendly and accommodating. A special shout-out to Sandile Ntungwa who served us for the evening. His laughter, recommendations and chat was just awesome. All the staff we spoke to were proud to be part of the Oyster-Box Hotel team. Even the chefs were fabulous – oh and the curry buffet was just magic and delicious. We had a couple of woeful service experiences in Umhlanga while there for the long weekend. The Oyster Box team was the high-light of the weekend. We won’t forget them and long may they keep it up.
