yes

On the 29th FEB 2020 I decided to make reservation at the Ostrich Manor Number 94 R560 harteebees now operating as Red Zebra Lodge and Restaurant (PTY ltd). I paid an amount of R4600 for 6 people for my mother’s 60th birthday celebration to take place on the 24th – 26th April 2020. Obviously, we were under lockdown level one and could not visit the place.

Fast forward the 1st of July 2020 I then received the following comm from Zebra

Good afternoon, We regret to inform you that the Red Zebra Lodge and Restaurant (PTY ltd) has closed all operations. We have received emails with requests for refunds, with banking details and booking information. We are still in discussions to find alternative solutions but as it stands currently the situation is still as below. This process is going to take months to resolve and we will inform you if anything changes. The Minister of Tourism has also excluded non B BB-EE guest houses and hospitality business from the COVID19 relief fund which means we have not received any financial aid or assistance. All bookings made during and after the COVID19 lock down will unfortunately be cancelled and not reimbursed or booking dates extended and bookings that were extended will not be fulfilled. The business is not liquidating due to the fact that it does not own any assets. All queries must be done via e-mail. Kind regards, Management The Red Zebra Lodge

I then sent them an email requesting a refund and I got an automated email which read below From: *** <***> Sent: 09 June 2020 1:39 PM To: Nokulunga Marawu Subject: Auto: Business Closed (was: Business Closure)
