Deformation of character
On 30 March 2026, I visited the hotel together with my family. We were six people in total. Upon checking out on 1 April 2026, I personally made another booking for 15 May 2026 through the receptionist at the hotel.
Approximately one month later, I received a WhatsApp message informing me that my booking had been cancelled. Attached to the message was a video of an apartment containing balloons and bottles of alcohol. The message strongly imp**** that I was responsible for the condition shown in the video.
I was deeply shocked, humiliated, and emotionally distressed by these allegations because they are completely false. I do not consume alcohol, and I strongly deny any involvement in the conduct shown in the video.
Immediately after receiving the accusation, I contacted the hotel seeking clarity and proof of the allegations. However, the staff member I spoke to failed to answer my questions or provide any evidence linking me to the incident. I specifically requested:
* CCTV footage from the date of my previous stay; * The original video with visible date and time stamps; * Any reports or evidence connecting me to the allegations.
The hotel failed and/or refused to provide any of the requested evidence, despite continuing to accuse me. I subsequently informed the receptionist that I would personally come to the hotel because I could not accept being falsely accused without proof. I further requested that all evidence relating to the allegations be prepared for my arrival.
Upon arrival at the hotel, staff failed to provide any explanation or supporting evidence. I also requested to meet management, but I was informed that management was unavailable because it was a weekend.
What further aggravated the matter was discovering that the exact same accusatory message had also been sent to another individual known to me. This raises serious concerns regarding the ******** sharing of defamatory allegations and the damage caused to my reputation and dignity.
On Monday, 11 May 2026, I received a telephone call from a member of management who spoke to me in a loud, aggressive, and disrespectful manner. During the call, I attempted to seek answers regarding the accusations. Instead of providing evidence, management eventually apologised for falsely accusing me and confirmed that my booking for 15 May 2026 would still proceed.
However, the harassment and mistreatment continued upon my arrival at the hotel on 15 May 2026.
During check-in, I requested the first two rooms on the 4th floor, which I had arranged approximately one month earlier. I was instead allocated different rooms without prior notice. When I questioned the change, I was told that “the system changed.” I expressed my dissatisfaction because I had made the request well in advance.
At that stage, a member of management approached in an aggressive and intimidating manner, speaking loudly in front of others and stating: “We know this lady, we have her messages, and if necessary we must cancel her booking.”
This statement was humiliating, intimidating, and defamatory.
I remained calm and proceeded to the rooms allocated to me. However, upon entering one of the rooms, I discovered that it was already occupied. The room was opened in the presence of the receptionist and two other individuals. When I questioned the situation, I was casually informed that I had been given the wrong access card.
I returned to reception seeking answers, but staff failed to provide a satisfactory explanation. Instead, they later returned and denied that anyone had been in the room. At this stage, I became seriously concerned about my safety, privacy, and treatment at the hotel.
While collecting my luggage from the parking area, I overheard the same manager loudly instructing staff to “monitor her,” referring to me as though I were a ******** suspect. This conduct caused severe embarrassment, humiliation, emotional distress, and discomfort.
I was further informed that my rooms would be inspected upon check-out. In an effort to protect myself from further false accusations, I personally requested that staff inspect the rooms before my departure. Two female staff members arrived with hostile attitudes and appeared determined to find something to use against me.
After the inspection, I went to reception and requested a final report confirming the condition of the rooms before I departed. After some time, I was informed that everything was in order.
Shockingly, after I had already returned home, I received yet another message from the hotel accusing me of misconduct. The hotel sent me a video showing a dirty floor and alleged that I had “repeated the same behaviour” that they had previously apologised for falsely accusing me of.
I find this accusation malicious, unreasonable, and unjustified. Hotels employ cleaning staff to clean rooms after guests check out. Guests are not expected to deep clean hotel rooms before departure unless such requirements are expressly communicated in advance. The continued attempts to falsely associate me with misconduct appear deliberate and targeted.
The conduct of the hotel has caused me:
* Emotional distress; * Humiliation and embarrassment; * Anxiety and discomfort; * Damage to my dignity and reputation; * Fear and loss of trust in the establishment.
I have formally requested that the hotel preserve all CCTV footage, videos, reports, inspection records, WhatsApp communications, and any other relevant evidence relating to these incidents. I was informed that CCTV footage is deleted after seven days.
