Forfeited Money by "The Nest Drakensberg Mountain Resort Hotel, Bergview"

I made a booking via the website booking.com for a holiday for the Nest Hotel @ Drakensberg. The website allowed for a free cancellation within 24 hours. Within an hour of my booking, my credit card was deducted with half the price of the accommodation for the complete duration of our stay. I had booked 3 double rooms for 6 adults for 4 nights so the cost was not cheap (R24 680.00), therefore a huge amount was deducted from my credit card. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel the booking but this was done within 72 hours and not 24 hours, which I understood if I had to be charged a small fee. Since doing the cancellation, which was done on 20 November 2017 I had enquired twice a day every-day, for the past 15 days and I have not received my refund. They have never called me back and neither did they email me to inform me the status of my refund until I called every day.

Please be very careful if you ever decide to book at The Nest @ Drakensberg and if you not sure about your stay, don’t book! You might end up with an experience of what I am going through and your money forfeited.
