Natural Runner’s shop in Centurion Lifestyle

I had a painful experience with Runner’s shop in Centurion. I bought a pair of running shoes a few months back and have worn it once testing it, unfortunately I injured my ankle while wearing these new shoes for the 1st time. I attended a podiatrist who told me the reason for my injury was the wrong shoe prescribed for me. I was not supposed to have been given a neutral shoe as I pronate a lot inwards. The worst thing is I was tested for a simulation run prior to being sold the shoe, the shoe was comfortable but it was the wrong type for my foot. I didn’t even use the insoles which came with the shoes as I had insoles I bought from the Podiatrist which I was using for running. I have since returned the shoes as I only wore them once with their new insoles and in its original box and receipt. I also submitted medical reports from both podiatrist and physio which have cost me about R5000 so far as I was paying cash. I requested a proper shoe or atleast a new shoe at half price but the manager denied saying it’s my fault that I wore the wrong shoe while I trusted them as professionals to prescribe the correct shoe for my feet especially after testing me in their shop. I’m not happy with their service and I would like to be compensated.
