Religious ************** is unacceptable and *********

<p>Been to an interview at The Nail Factor at Gateway on the 9th March. I got there and the manager started to interview 2 other females and I, whilst conducting our interview she schedules a client appointment, as unprofessional as that was we still waited for her to be done. We were told that our interview would be from 10:30am till 5:00pm and we would have to stay the duration. We waited for about +-45 minutes to continue our interview until the head Mrs Naidoo comes in and starts to conduct her interview. She then tells me I have all of the experience but the only problem is my head gear isn't allowed, being a Muslim female that statement of Mrs Naidoo humiliated me. I asked her if she was serious and she said yes, I then turned and walked out of The Nail Factor. she didn't call to apologise but rather denied that she ever said that my hijab wasn't allowed when she was called by a family member, the most disappointing part of this is that you get people who will support religious ************** like the manager Simone who also says that the statement of me using a hijab isn't allowed ,was never made. As a LLB student I know my human rights and my religious rights, this was unacceptable and humiliating. For being a professional woman Mrs Naidoo is nothing but unprofessional I hope that this reaches her clients that are Muslim and most importantly that are against religious **************. NO ONE SHOULD FEEL ASHAMED OR FEARFUL TO PRACTISE THEIR RELIGION IN PUBLIC. Mrs Naidoo has left a very negative and aweful impression of her business and her character on me. It is reasons like this and Because of people like these we as Muslims have to fear to practice our religion, it makes us think that we are not accepted in a community because we are Muslims and we do not meet the communitys or working standards. Never have I ever in the past come across such *********, disturbing and unprofessional behaviour from any of my previous employers or companies.</p>
