Terrible Food and Pathetic Service

I took my family out to dinner at The Meat Company on 2 June 2018. The waitress did not repeat the order to us before disappearing to place the order with the kitchen. When the food arrived, not only was most of it cold, but some of it was not what we ordered. The Lamb Shank - R240 was the worst Lamb Shank I have had in my life - it was dry and tough. The Buttered Chicken was a long way from tender. The Chicken Burger that one of my guests had was tasty, but the person eating the burger became nauseaus within an hour and spent most of the night suffering from stomach cramps and vomited for hours on end - to the extent that he was unable to drive home and had to stay at my house overnight. At no stage did anybody enquire if we were happy with the food. We were only able to place a single order for drinks/beverages, because nobody ever asked if we would like any more to drink. The manager "tried" to rectify the situation by not charging for the Lamb Shank, but this did not detract from making what was a special night out, instead turning the occasion into a personal embarrassment to me and a generally unpleasant evening out for 7 people. We would have enjoyed a better evening by going to a local Pitsa restaurant at a fraction of the cost. The restaurant deserves to go out of business for treating customers in this manner.
