Terrible experience with The Mattress Warehouse

We went to the Boksburg branch of The Mattress Warehouse, where we bought a new mattress. We were offered their 100 Day Comfort Trial, one of the conditions being that we invest in their waterproof mattress protector. My wife asked if it there was any plastic in the mattress protector and we were told that there wasn't. When the item was eventually delivered 13 days later, we found that it did in fact have a plastic base. When we went to return it, unused and in the original packaging, we were informed by the sales lady that she could not refund our money because it had been opened. After insisting, I was told that their credit card machine could not do credit transactions. I could not get a refund. After further insistence in writing, I was told that they would give a refund but it had to be approved by head office. It has now been 34 days and I still don't have my money back. Ridiculous!!!!! Be careful when dealing with this shop!!!!!
