Makeup artist did not pitch up for appointment

My daughter is having her matric dance on 3 Oct. I made bookings with Chanelle du Plessis for trial for hair and makeup on 26 Sept and also for on the day of the occasion. On 2 July 2015 Chanelle confirmed both of the appointments for 26 Sept and 3 Oct. These appointments was for at our house as she is a mobile makeup artist - she goes to you house so that you do not have to drive around. On 15 Sept I once again confirmed with Chanelle for 26 Sept and she confirmed it is in order. On 16 Sept 2015 an amount of R600 was paid into Chanelle's bank account for the makeup. On 26 Sept Chanelle did not pitch up for our appointment. I could not reach her on her cellphone as it goes straight over to answering service. I have sent her two sms's but she also did not respond to these. I have sent her an email but no response was received. I even sent her an email via her website but still no response. This is very unprofessional! After confirming our appointment and monies being paid to her. I want her to refund me the R600 that was paid, as we paid this to her in good faith for a service which did not happen. Not even phoning us to make an excuse.
