Harassment from The Little Ashford Preschool / The LAP (Bryanston) after removing my child from school due to medical reasons

<p>The Little Ashford Preschool / The LAP (Bryanston) has been harassing us for months, since we had to remove our child from their school due to medical reasons. I had personally met with the principal at the time to explain our situation and she told me that she understands and everything was good.</p> <p> </p> <p>We supp**** the school with all the medical documentation any way, which was quite extensive and included letters and recommendations from our doctor, specialist and nutritionist.</p> <p> </p> <p>So you can imagine my surprise when I received a bill from them for R17860.20, and the reason they gave us is that they need 4 months notice if you want to take your child out of the school. So it turns out that they want us to pay for 4 months even though our child is not there. This is on top of the R4500 deposit we paid when we signed up.</p> <p> </p> <p>Now I can understand losing the R4500 deposit but to be invoiced for an additional R17860.20 is just ridiculous and totally unreasonable.</p> <p> </p> <p>We have communicated our situation numerous times with them over the past months and even sent a letter from our lawyer but we are still being regularly bombarded with emails and SMSs from the school and a company called Credit Intel demanding we pay R17860.20 to The Little Ashford Preschool immediately.</p> <p> </p> <p>Personally I feel that this is unacceptable and just shows that actually The Little Ashford Preschool doesn’t care at all about the kids (or their families) that attend their school.</p>
