The IIE Rosebank College Braamfontein Campus.

I have heard and read about numerous complains about this College and i always tried to ignore them. Here's the truth; I am a FTL with the college and on the verge of Resigning.

These has been the most toxic working environment that one has to work at. Poor management s**** shown by the previous Principal Frikkie Cronje, who is now given a higher position.

It is toxic to work under people who constantly tell you that "Someone would loose their job" this line is alwayd used by the Vice Principal Academics "Tendai kufa" and they get shocked when lecturers leave them just like that. This woman is cruel and a traitor.

She has instilled fear amongst us and always makes us feel her presence. Few meetings have been held about this but it really seems like there is no change of artitude.

That is why you'd hear parents complaining about their Kids not having lecturers for weeks and even months. The real question is: Who would stand being abused by a Zimbabwean National who does not even have a heart towards South Africans.

Then there is this whitr guy called Adriaan; works in the National office. Lord have mercy upon him. He's such am abuser who does not know how to talk to his employees. He once called us FROGS in a meeting. A whole grouo of academics.

You know why these kids fai l? It is because their lecturers are treated like *******. You could be shouted at just minutes before you go to class by tendai and you'd need to be okay for the class. What a toxic environment.

There is just no order within that campus more especially from the management. They do not value the kind of Leturers that they have. (Well seasoned Lecturers do not even last for more than 2 years)

We are discouraged by the same VPA Tendai to affiliate with Trade Unions. We still do not know the reasons.

As long as there is no change of culture you are still going to experience the problems that you have. This tendency of you takong pride in saying: We dont mind loosing people if they do not follow what we want is pure bullying.

I have never seen an estimed academic institution that prides itself to loosing people and not be opened for objective and constructive critisim.

We are called an academic institution for a reason! We need to engage. The results that you see from Children are not really true; we as lecturers are told to make those kids pass. It is all about the Money.

One time i was told: Your kids have failed; you need to remark these scripts and make them pass. It was a shock to me it is even now!

With my academic integrity i cannot condone such.

To parents of Rosebank college Braamfontein:

Goodluck with keeping your kids at the college. Lecturers are mot not happy and are afraid to voice it out. The Campus is in a mess and amazingly it is hid from the IIE.

The deputy principal Ms Sumiya is really a Darling who always tries by allmeans to steer the college into the right direction but she is really being let down by her people.

Their values and mission are just preached but not practised by the top management. Afterall as they always say: We are here for business and making money not taking into consideration Academic Intergrity.

I feel for my colleagues who tend to take leave days now and then, it is because of the low staff morale. People are getting sick week in week out. This os a toxic working environment and we are afraid to say it.

Enough with it now, we lost a lecturer a couple of weeks RIP to her!
