Totally misleading points holiday system
I've been to many talks about how expensive holidays can be and you should buy points to save money so you can afford to go on amazing holidays in the future. If this is what you want, then the holiday club is not for you.<br> I take my holidays in peak times - mainly in December. I was told no problem - get points and save... The levies each year are about R6000. My points per year can get me half a week in a 2-3 star resort, so I have to wait 2 years to have enough points to stay at a resort, which probably costs less than the 12k levy I've spent anyway. It's the biggest waste of money ever. I think my points cost me about R3000 per point. You can buy second hand for about R200 per point - that proves what terrible value their system. the best offer I've received is to take over my levy and pay me nothing.
