Holiday Club refuse to refund points in spite of KZN been declared a disaster area!
We planned a holiday outside of Durban to start on Friday 22 April to Friday 29th on the 14th it was declared a disaster area by the Government. Now we are trying to cancel because our Area is badly affected , some part of the house is damaged and the road you can not drive if you don't have an SUV or a Truck. People died around our area and others are still missing. Our house is damaged. The holiday club is tell me that where I booked the roads and hotel is perfectly fine. And the Government didn't say anything about Tourism .This is unacceptable how are we suppose to get to our destination from Durban area...! I demand my points back so that we can book another well deserved holiday at a later stage. They forget that without people this business will not function. But The holiday club is all about money and not for the people.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience brought about by the recent unprecedented KZN floods.
The safety and comfort of our guests has always been our priority and will continue to be. Please note that during such unforeseen circumstances, we as a company also had no choice but to deal with the matter on a day to day basis, with guidance and advice from our local municipalities and trusted news providers.
We can confirm that at the time of the rains, our resorts were operational and accessible, as its structural integrity has been braced for adverse conditions over the years. In terms of water restrictions as a result of the floods, back-up water tanks, reserve water supplies and boreholes at a majority of our resorts helped curb this issue. Although inundated with calls from concerned guests, we are happy to confirm that we were able to attend to their queries and assist each individual matter in a reasonable manner.
It is our aim to provide our guests with a memorable holiday experience and are glad to have done so despite these unfortunate and trying conditions.
