Holiday club - cancellation policy confusion

I wrote a review last week which was removed as apparently my facts were wrong so for this review i will show the facts and ask for opinions on how one interpret this: My holiday anniversary date as per my statement is 1 June 2025, copied from my statement as you cannot do a screenshot:, happy to share the original statement as proof Statement Date: 14-08-2024 Membership Tier: Classic Next Anniversary Date: 01-06-2025 iExchange Affiliation Valid Till: 01-07-2025 Last Payment Date: 16-05-2024 Last Payment Amount: R8 248.45 Amount Now Due: R0.00

Notice given: 14 Aug 2024

The cancellation policy state as follow (copied form the website - https://support.theholidayclub.co.za/support/solutions/articles/***-cancellation-of-my-holiday-club-membership):

Cancellation of Agreement: Once you have paid your Credit Finance in full, and should you wish to cancel your membership, you must first ensure that you are paid up on all accounts with The Holiday Club, then you must give written notice of cancellation by emailing *** (your “notice of cancellation”).

Should your notice of cancellation be received more than 9 months before your next Anniversary Date, then as long as you are paid up on all accounts, your membership will be terminated at the end of the notice period. You will not be required to pay any further fees and you may still use your existing Points to make a holiday reservation before your next Anniversary Date.

The feedback is that one should cancel then in July (the way i count is 11 months but will appreciate review on the number of months from 1 July 2024 to 1 June 2025 as i get 11 months, august is 10 months, well 9 months and 18 days to be exact from when notice was given on 14 August, the website does not specify anyting about calendar months and then i was told it is because i get my renewal invoice in may but they confirmed my anniversary is 1 June 2025 as per the statement). please help me then understand what about the above facts are incorrect and that i did not honor the notice period as per the website policy? i guess it will just change based on what ever will work for them to get you to pay a penalty.

The continued communication is disagreeing about the 9 months with no clear answer as to what date that is, today it became July (11 months prior to renewal) to meet the "more than nine months" part of your policy when in fact from 1 Sep 2024 to 1 June 2025 is 9 months as such anything before that is more than 9 months and 14 august was 9 months an 18 days. the consultant then suddenly changed the date to the one I received my invoice for the next membership period which is 1 May but that is not the anniversary date, the anniversary date is 1 June 2025 as per the statement I get from HC. More than nine months prior to that mean anything back from 1 September 2024 is sufficient. considering my renewal was i June 2024 and it is for 12 months i honestly don't get the math how July is the cut off as it is one month after renewal as such 11 months. As I said i posted the facts and I am open to other people on the platform openly correct me on counting months. for me from 14 august to 14 May is 9 months and your policy state more than 9 months not calendar months or a specific date i.e. the first of the month - just more than nine month to anniversary.
