Holiday charges full year Levy to cancel

I am trying to cancel my Holiday Club Contract. I had this contract in place and am not using it due to reservation difficulties as well as affordability. I have given notice that I am relinquishing all my points and that I am cancelling the contract with immediate effect. bI am now required to still pay the next 2022 levy to cancel the contract or to take up some other unwanted option with a monthly debit order otherwise I will be blacklisted is the threat.

ALTERNATIVE OPTION 1: TAKE A FEE BREAK Why don’t you take a break from paying your annual membership and reservation fees this year? We will reverse your 2020 Points and fees but require that you take up the option to pre-pay next year’s fees via monthly debit order or credit card payment over 12 months to make it easier (if you are not already doing so). If you are interested in this option please contact me so that I may calculate your new monthly premium. You could save up to 5% on your annual membership and reservation fees by setting up a monthly debit order or 2% if paying via credit card (Mastercard and Visa). ALTERNATIVE OPTION 2: RE-EVALUATE OWNERSHIP OPTIONS Let us look at repackaging your existing points ownership to meet your current lifestyle needs. This may reduce your annual fee commitment, whilst still providing you with enjoyable holidays. ALTERNATIVE OPTION 3: GIVE THE GIFT OF HOLIDAYS Why don’t you transfer your membership to a friend or family member? We will be happy to facilitate this transfer for you free of charge, saving R1 816 in transfer fees. We have attached a summary of Club benefits that you may provide to your nominee (and maybe it will remind you of some of the happy holidays we hope you enjoyed through us!). ALTERNATIVE OPTION 4: RESALE: List your Points for resale with Cape Escape or sell them privately, however, note that fees need to be current in order for them to be transferred. Also, please appreciate that it may take some time for them to match a suitable buyer, in the meanwhile you still remain obligated to settle your fees. ALTERNATIVE OPTION 5: OWNERSHIP OF A TIMESHARE WEEK: You also have the option to exit from The Holiday Club and take ownership of a timeshare week corresponding closely to your Points value, allowing you and your family to continue enjoying annual vacations; especially if used hand in hand with an exchange company. The transfer fee of R1 816 would be for your account. If none of the above suggestions provide you with a solution and you still wish to cancel your membership, you must first ensure that you are up to date on all accounts with the Club, then give the Club 30 days’ written notice of your intention to cancel, so that we may calculate the surrender value should you still owe any amount on the purchase of your Points in terms of the National Credit Act. As The Holiday Club pays Resort levies in advance, you will also be required to settle your fees for the forthcoming year. You will, of course, be welcome to use these Points at any time during your notice year."
