False claims made during informative meeting that turned out to be sales pitch

We were on holiday at Cayley Lodge last week from 1 Aug 2016 until 5 Aug 2016. On Wednesday (3 Aug 2016) we received a call to arrange a meeting where the stated purpose was to show us how to use our points more effectively. We agreed to meet the next day (4 Aug 2016) in the morning.

The sales person that came to see us was from ECB Holidays CC. His explanation of how the meeting is related to using points more effectively was that we will use less points per booking if we have 16 points or more in total. He further stated that legislation has changed to the effect that life (infinity) points will be replaced by term points (20 years or less), except for cases where one already owns life points. He then claimed that he has been assigned to close our file with immediate effect either with our original points or with additional points if we choose to do so right away.

When asked about the suddenness of the process heclaimed that quarterly emails were sent out last year to warn members about the changes in legislation. We were in an area with limited internet connectivity, which made it difficult to verify his claims, so we decided to sign up for additional life points. Once we arrived back home we could check our emails, look on the web site and call THC customer care, and realized that all the claims about life points not being available in future was completely false.

I have sent an email to ********** and called member services three times, but so far the only result has been promises that a work order will one day be created. I went ahead and logged a work order (#00EPZ7) on the web site myself, so please attend to it as a matter of urgency.

Dear Holiday Club,
Sending one email to Dawn at ECB Holidays and waiting indefinitely for a reply can hardly bwe called conducting an investigation. I phoned Dawn myself and found out that Chris Harmon, the agent, is not currently in the country - so they were simply going to leave the matter until he returns.
I have provided them with all the information they need to process the cancellation, but please urge them from your side as well to do it as soon as possible. If you have any regard for justice or your reputation you should investigate all recent point applications done via ECB Holidays (especially Chris Harmon) by contacting the applicants and finding out whether similar false claims were made to pressurize them into purchasing points.
Regards,
Andre

Dear Holiday Club,
Contrary to my request and all the promises made by you and ECB Holidays to date, I received an email this morning stating that the points upgrade had been processed. Please rectify this as soon as possible and don't add any related costs onto my account!
