Cancellation of Membershipt and Selling of Points
<p>It amazes me how quickly The Holiday Club ("THC") will contact a person with specials and deals and upgrades, but how useless they are at assisting a person with a request.<br />I have been trying to cancel/sell my points since the beginning of 2016, and each time I receive a different story from different consultants. <br />According to THC you have to give them FIRST option to buy back your points (ya right... as if they are willing to do that, don't bother wasting your time). I receive a response stating that if I want to sell it, I will have to contact Cape Escape or Arrowwood International, who will assist me, what they don't tell you is you have to pay a third party to sell your timeshare, and IF you are lucky enough to Sell your points then you will need to pay between R999 and R1800 to transfer the points onto someone else name, seriously... how pathetic is that.</p> <p>Whoever decides to contact me, because of this review... Know this... ALL I want from THC is for them to BUY back my 20 points that I NO LONGER want. I am not interested in upgrading, going on holiday, or anything else you "think" I may be interested in. I just want my money back that I paid for the 20 points, and to NEVER have to deal with THC again....</p>

We wish to clarify The Holiday Club does not deal in the resale of Points. The purchase of Points is an investment in savings on future holidays, and should not be seen as an investment to generate income via rental or capital gain upon resale of the Points.
Should a member need to dispose of their Points, we will provide them with the contact details of reputable Resale companies. Please bear in mind that all resales take place on the principle of a "willing seller willing buyer" and the resale price is determined by the aforementioned. Members can also sell their Points privately should they wish to do so. The member can then determine the selling price. Our Transfers department will facilitate the transfer process.
Members also have the option of cancelling the membership by submitting a written request to do so. However, you cannot sell and cancel at the same time.
A Consultant will contact you to assist further.
