Why Display Rules If They Aren’t Enforced?
Good day. I hope you’re well. I’m extremely disappointed by what I experienced at Spar at The Hills few minutes ago! At the entrance, there is a clear sign stating that pyjamas are not allowed in the store. However, right in front of me, two young men wearing pyjamas were allowed to enter and shop without anyone stopping them. When I questioned the cashier about this, she told me that she wasn’t the security guard and therefore wasn’t responsible for stopping them. I find this completely unacceptable. If the store has a policy, it should be enforced consistently and fairly for every customer. Otherwise, why have the sign at all??? It creates the impression that the rules only apply when it’s convenient or only to certain people. As a customer, I expect fairness and consistency. Experiences like this are frustrating and leave a very poor impression of the store. I hope this matter is taken seriously and that staff are aligned on enforcing the rules equally for everyone.
