-10 for the Herb Farm Bistro

I booked a table for lunch on the 19th 0f January as a surprise for my wifes Birthday, on arrival it was beautiful the gardens are immaculate and full of beautiful flowers and plants , the restaurant is set on a veranda overlooking all this beauty so we were so excited for what lay ahead. We choose a green salad to start, it arrived on a dinner plate and comprised of wilted and brown lettuce leaves, sliced olives the cheapest you can find ,about 7 tiny pieces of feta cheese red and yellow peppers, this is a herb farm so you would think they had access to the finest produce. I singled to the waitress and explained we didn't want the salad she could just please bring our mains, we waited for an hour and on arrival we were even more disappointed, my wife chicken was dry and bland the hummus made the flat bread soggy and it was rather unappealing, my chicken wings and chips well the wings I have had better from a box bought variety form the local supermarket, they were flavourless, and the chips well they were swimming in oil that when squeezed they literally dripped oil. The waiter approached our table and said I can see you are not happy so I explained to her and she was so apologetic and said she would let the owner know, who was in the kitchen, well he couldn't be bothered, I even wrote my complaint on the slip with my number no sign of him. Maybe they are too big to care about one table, well we will not be back ever ! you ruined my wife's birthday surprise.
