A HOME AWAY FROM HOME FOR YOUR KIDS

We moved to Pretoria from Durban in April 2019. We managed to find a school for my (Grade R) son and a home via various websites and Google. Unfortunately, there was a major misunderstanding and the school that we had found for our son, was Afrikaans only.

We discovered this on the Friday and I was due to start work on Monday. I must say that I was extremely stressed that weekend!

We had been told of an English school in the area and were set on having our son enrolled there that Monday, unfortunately for us, it was still school holidays and so we planned to return a little later in the day in the hopes that this school's office would be open.

We drove around the corner and spotted a preschool and took a chance. We were met at the door by a very friendly Teacher Evelyn who showed us to the office and explained everything we would need to know for us to decide. She took us on a tour of the school and advised that the principal, Teacher Sherry, would be in later that day.

We left and went back to the school about an hour later as we wanted to confirm our intention to enrol our son at the school as well as meet with the principal, who also happened to be the Grade R teacher. We walked through the door and our son ran up to and hugged Teacher Sherry. That was a sure sign that we had made the right decision!

We can't thank Teacher Sherry and her amazing staff compliment enough for the love they have shown our son in his final year of Pre-School and for giving him a home where he could learn while having tons of fun!
