Keeping my R18 360-00

We booked rooms for our staff on 21 May 2015, for the Grahamstown Festival, and sent through proof of payment on 22 May 2015.<br> I was requested not to pay a deposit, but settle the account in full. Amount of R18 360-00.<br> On 10 June 2015, we canceled our booking due to unforeseen circumstances. That gave The Grand Res a 3 week notice period. Six months later, however, after being given the run around by Melinda, I have been officially informed that they are keeping the full amount, because they didn't book the rooms out, and that according to their T's&C's they can keep my entire booking amount of R18360-00.<br> Their T's&C's state that they are entitled to keep the entire deposit. A deposit is not usually the full and final amount. We didn't pay a deposit. We feel ****** by this company, that are hiding behind legal terms. We feel they are *********, and behave in a ***ardly manner.<br> I have never come across a company that cites T's&C's to blatantly ***** one's money.<br> <br> We would have been happy to pay a reasonable penalty.<br> We are still continuing the matter, as we are convinced this to be bad, ********* practice.<br> <br> The holding company is called Prosperito. ************.<br>
