Geyser Connection false advertising of services and verbal abuse of consumers.

Never been so insulted by such blatant thievery. I called the Geyser Connection regarding a faulty geyser, on the basis of what they clearly advertise in the Roodepoort Record Classifieds as them providing free quotes. Not so. After declining their quote to replace my geyser, they insisted that I pay a callout fee of R670. When pointing out to them that their newspaper ad states that they provide free quotes, I was told that I should've specified over the phone that I was looking for a "free quote". Perhaps it doesn't occur to them that they're at fault for failing to specify over the phone that there will be a callout fee in spite of what their advert claims.

An incredibly offensive phone discussion ensued with Gavin, in which I was shouted at, insulted with accusations of me "not sticking to the facts", verbally bul****, and repeatedly cut short with him speaking over me while trying to finish a statement. Grand finale was him declaring to me "karma is *****". Am I supposed to assume this is a threat?

Would not recommend these ********* to anyone. Maybe if they were actually a respectable supplier then insurance companies would already have them on their books, and they wouldn't have to fear people reverting to an insurance company instead of accepting their quotes outright. I guess I'm also to blame for not having reviewed hellopeter.com beforehand as I would've found their only review "Unfair and rude owner of geyser connection". Couldn't have said it better myself.
